Corrections Policy
Accuracy is the foundation of editorial trust. When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly, transparently, and permanently.
How to submit a correction
If you believe a Valdrans report contains a factual error, send us an email at:
Please include the following in your submission:
- The URL of the report you believe contains an error
- The specific claim or statement you believe is incorrect
- The source or evidence you have that contradicts it — a link to a primary source, a filing, or a data provider is most useful
Our investigation timeline
We aim to investigate all corrections submissions within 24 hours of receipt. For time-sensitive corrections involving actively moving markets, we treat these as urgent and aim to resolve them within the same trading session where possible.
You will receive a response acknowledging your submission. If we cannot resolve the matter within 24 hours, we will let you know why and provide an updated timeline.
How we handle confirmed errors
Factual corrections
For straightforward factual errors — a wrong figure, an incorrect date, a misattributed quote — we correct the specific text in the report and append a clearly dated correction note to the article. This note remains visible permanently and explains what was changed. We do not silently edit published content.
Significant errors
For significant errors where the core thesis of a report was materially wrong — where the error was not peripheral but central to the analysis — we retract the report in full. A retraction notice replaces the content and explains what was wrong and why the report cannot stand.
We do not unpublish retracted reports without explanation. Readers who accessed the report before retraction deserve to know what changed.
